Why We Like The Tivoli IV Tall Boot
When bone-chilling temperatures, mornings spent scraping ice off the car, and hairy ice-covered roads are here, we pull on the Sorel Tivoli Boot. Their sleek and stylish silhouette is a beacon of joy in a cold winter landscape. Thanks to 100g insulation and plush fleece lining, our feet stay warm while navigating slippery sidewalks so we can enjoy the white wonderland. Uncomfortable

I really liked the boot and I've always been happy with Sorel products, but this rubbed uncomfortably on the top of my foot where the seams were located.

I bought the black ones
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Size up! The black looks a bit green, but I'm going to die it darker. Just my preference. The boots came quickly, in good packaging order, they are super cute and cozy. I'm a continued fan of the brand.

True to size, no longer warm after 5 yrs
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

I purchased these from another site in 2019 in size 7. I am normally a 7 in boots w/narrow feet, so I would say these are true to size. At first these boots seemed to be perfect...cute, warm, and comfortable. But on a recent trip to Alaska, my feet were freezing in 10F weather (even when sitting in a heated car.) I do not live in a cold weather environment, so these have probably only been worn in the snow 100 days or less in the nearly 5 years I've owned them. I have been in colder environments with these boots before with no issues, so not sure what is causing the lack of warmth now but I am shopping for new boots. A couple of other things to note...the black color that I own is shifting to a weird black-green hue (fading?). Also, they set off the metal detector in the airport (so I have to remove when going through.) This is minor annoyance (since I wear my boots when flying to snowboarding destinations to save room in my gear bag) and taking them on and off is a pain. Final verdict? These boots are cute, but don't consider them a long-term investment.

Functional, not long lasting
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

I’ve worn these for about 2 months here and there. They’re wonderfully warm which is why I got them. They are also comfortable which is a huge plus. But after some pretty minimal use they’re already scuffing up which makes me think they won’t last for years like I was hoping. I went with Sorrel for purpose of long lasting boots, but I don’t know if the quality on these is up to par.

Great boot!

I bought these boots to go to Fairbanks, Alaska to shoot the Aurora borealis. They are so comfortable and very warm! The Temps were -25 to -37. I had heated socks but did not have to use them much. I wear a 6.5 shoe. I wore thicker socks. I had to return a size 7 for a size 8. They fit perfectly. I highly recommend these boots!

I bought these tall boots because I was tired of walking in snow and having it get into the top of my boots. Doesn’t happen with these. They’re warm and I’m wearing normal thickness socks. They probably would be a little snug if I put really heavy or multiple pair of socks on but there’s no need. Bought my regular size.

Not worth buying
Do not buy these boots or any Sorel boots. I purchased them in the past and always had issues with sizing or squeaking, but I decided to give them one more chance, because I thought these boots were a nice looking and comfortable and assumed to be warm. Within two minutes of Shoveling, and only 4 inches of snow my feet were ice cold!! I called the warranty and they said that they do not cover temperature because everybody is different. I’ve worn lighter, less insulated ankle boots from another very popular brand and never had an issue with warmth I guess I’ll be going back and not try Sorel ever again.

Adorable and warm
I love these boots! The shoe laces are so cute and work well. The boots kept me warm and dry on a trip to Canada 🇨🇦 I do sizing a full size up.

I have always worn sorel's for Northern Michigan Winter's. My last pair are still kicking but they no longer carry the inserts. So I ordered these. They have been amazing! They reach about mid calf, comfortable, have great grip, stylish, not bulky or heavy and are very warm. They do run a little small and since I often wear thermal socks I ordered 1 complete size up from my normal.
