Why We Like The HOKA Clifton 9 GTX Shoe
Our training plan doesn't care if the clouds are lightening their load and neither do we when we're laced in the HOKA Clifton 9 GTX Shoe. The GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane keeps the rain out while still letting our sweat vapor escape, keeping our feet comfortable dry, while the sole's textured traction pods increase surface contact area for reliable grip on slick roads.

Game changer
I purchased these at the recommendation of some fellow teachers to help with a knee problem.

Yes,Clifton 9 GTX
Walking in these sneakers, my feet feels like they walking on soft layers of toilet paper. As , nurse, I love my feet, and they are Happy Feet. Toe has wiggle space and the heel fits like it is sitting on a sponge. Nice shoes.

I will likely buy the Hoka Clifton 9 or later model again
Great stability, cushion and very comfortable. I wear a size 10 normally and always purchase a half size larger for ruining shoes.

Probably
It's an all day work shoe. So far, so good, although I've only worn them two days.

Not comfortable at all
I am extremely disappointed after wearing them for nearly 2 months, specially at this price range and advertised features. I wore them to work sitting down at a desk, to a hike, on long flights and trains, walking around all day, and running. Bottom line is I would not recommend these for extended walking, running, or standing. Here are details why, noting they are my usual and recommended shoe size: 1. The bottom of my heels hurt so much after a couple hours of wearing them, whether I am standing or walking. 2. My feet move up and down inside the shoes while walking because the rear end does not hold onto the ankle. I used the additional laces holes and had them so tight that my ankles hurt but still my feet were lifting up. I think it is the design of the back wing curving out instead of straight up or inwards. I noticed my toes are curving down like a claw while walking to stabilize and hold the shoes, which is resulting in my toes hurting. 3. Starting to give me blisters. 4. The outer side rubber soles color is already startig to fade. I have never had any of these problems with any of my entry-level sneakers and not even my snow boots. At first, I thought maybe this was because they are new but the discomfort persisted. My 60-day return period is still valid however I can't return them in good conscience after wearing them.

Excellent! Not perfect, but few things are.
I've never received so many compliments on a pair of shoes in my adult life. People love the color. I love the color too. Walking in the shoes feels great. if you have any trouble with the bottoms of your feet these shoe support you incredibly well. I wear inserts and maybe that pushes my feet up a bit, but I have to note that the top of my feet it feel like they're grabbed my toes a bit. It's not uncomfortable. It's definitely improved with wear, but it's just something l've noticed. To boil it down to one sentence: They deserve 5 stars, these are easily becoming my favorite pair of shoes to put on.
